Who is Queen City Transportation?
Serving the Cincinnati community for decades, Queen City Transportation has been a leader in the bus transportation industry for 60 years. Queen City Transportation first started as Klug Bus Service in 1959 until 2014 when Aaron Haid bought the company. At the time of purchase, Aaron changed the company’s name to Queen City Transportation as part of his rebranding strategy and entrepreneurial vision to expand the company’s services and see it reach even greater heights. With great success, Queen City Transportation began expanding its school bus and motor coach fleet and growing workforce - providing even more rider services and more jobs to the Cincinnati community. As the result of this successes, Queen City Transportation garnered the attention of Birmingham, England-based bus and motor coach operator, National Express.
As an international leader in motor and rail transit, National Express was a good fit to help Queen City Transportation continue to grow. By the end of 2017, National Express purchased Queen City Transportation and plans for growth were developed. During the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020 National Express reassessed their future plans and decided to focus on its core school bus operation. In January 2021 Aaron Haid repurchased the Queen City Transportation motor coach division from National Express. Today we are operating a fleet of newer motor coaches with the same core values that started 60 years ago.
